Weekend Staycation: Diamond Hotel Review

Diamond Hotel was the first ever hotel I visited when I was young. It was during the Christmas season as well so the hotel lobby was decorated so well and we get to bring home Christmas dogs as their freebies before. Diamond Hotel became my standard when rating hotel before because our stay there really gave me a good impression. After more than 10 years I was given an opportunity to come back for an overnight stay with my family.

Lobby

Christmas Tree is a must during christmas season wherever you go! Diamond Hotel didn’t of course want to let its guests down and prepared a tall and shinning Christmas Tree right at the center of their lobby. It will welcome you as soon as you enter even if your coming from the main entrance or from the parking.

There are available seats for those who are waiting for their check in. I would say their check in process was so quick despite the volume of guests that came. Their staffs were all very friendly and would really try their best to give the room that you want. Some would even come to you and have some small chats as you wait for your turn.

Room

We booked 2 rooms for our family. One with 2 twin size bed and the other is a room with 1 king size bed for my parents.

They have rooms that are smoking and non-smoking. I suggest that you come early because non-smoking rooms are usually requested by guests and when I asked if the smell is strong in smoking rooms they said it was. Lucky for us even though we came late (3pm) we were able to get 2 non-smoking rooms and our rooms were in the same floor and not far from each other.

The Bed – We have 1 King size for our first room and 2 Twin size bed for our second room. I think a family of four can fit in 1 room with 2 twin size beds

The Bathroom – was spacious with different areas to shower and to do your thing. A tub was available for both rooms. What I found distinct is that they have cottons available for you! Most hotels usually offer toothbrushes and cottonbuds but not cotton balls which I think is really needed by most guests for their skincare routine!

The View – Unfortunately our room wasn’t facing Manila Bay ? though we can see it we can’t really have the Manila bay as our background as a whole like half of it would be a building. The rooms with the whole view of Manila bay I think would be the executive rooms that are on the end of hallways.

The Fridge – There wasn’t that much that is free in their fridge and as usual in most hotels drinks and snack were pricey.

Amenities

Pool Area – I’m someone who prefer covered pools when I’m staying at the hotel but even if the pool area wasn’t covered the strong sunlight was blocked by the tall buildings around. Its just that I find the pool area small and crowded that I end up not swimming.

Corniche – Corniche is their dining restaurant in the hotel. Our room includeds 2 buffet breakfast for each rooms. I would say that I love their breakfast menu! There are variety of food choices you can choose from and its not just there is a variety or they offer a lot but I would say the foods they served are really of quality and wasn’t just there to increase the number of choices. They indeed offered a quality breakfast choices that made me wonder how good will be their dinner and lunch buffets.
